Our friends went camping down in Lynton/Lynmouth and asked if we wanted to pop down for the day over the bank holiday weekend. Of course we obliged and off we jolly well went.

We had a great day chilling, throwing stones, eating ice-creams and playing frisbee. The weather was kind to us as well to be fair, which was a surprise given the fact we travelled through rain and fog to get there. On the way back we stopped off at The Windmill but apparently they had sold out of food! With hungry tummies we travelled on to find somewhere else, and stumbled upon The Plough Inn at Holford, Bridgewater. Their card states that they offer a warm and friendly welcome, and it wasn’t a lie. We were served promptly given how busy they were, and you got a nice ‘family owned’ vibe from the staff. The food was delicious and despite being warned of a delay due to a large order being taken before us, the food came quicker than anywhere else I have been. I didn’t grab any photos and was too hungry to be taking proper notes so there isn’t a full review – sorry, but I would be happy to go back to gather more details 😉

After that we were homeward bound, fully fuelled up on tasty noms and ready to tackle the M5.

Have a mooch at some photos and check out the slo-mo video too (press play above).
