I turned 35 this week, which didn’t really bother me until I started to write this sentence. Now I see it written down it seems kinda old. In the grand scheme of things, it isn’t actually so bad I guess. To be fair I haven’t been up to much, which is what I say each and every time I need to put content on my blog. It is fact a load of crap. I have been up to load of things, I just never seem to blog about it as I feel I should save my posts for when something really worthwhile happens. Back in the day, I used to put loads of content up, almost like writing a diary but putting it out there for the world to see. Maybe I should do that again, report on the weather, or who I may have bumped into that day. For now, lets have a natter about some stuff I’ve been up to.
As you can see from the featured image, I have been scoffing food again. I’m not the only one that has a birthday apparently, so a few of us went to the pub to celebrate a fellow colleagues. I had the Boneless Beef Rib which was AWESOME. According to the blurb on the menu it’s slow cooked for 8 hours, whether or not I believe that is another story, but it was nice all the same. Speaking of restaurants, the review requests have started to come back in, it must be the time of year for pubs and restaurants to have make-overs. Keep your eyes peeled for a review of a refurbished place in due course.
I cancelled my Spotify subscription. For one thing, I thought paying a tenner a month to listen to the same tracks over and over was a bit much. I then regretted my decision but thinking I had burnt that bridge I gave Apple Music another go, forgiving it for ruining my music collection on a previous trial. I then cancelled that as well. It was shit. For now I am rocking the free version of Spotify which repeats adverts more than I care for. Maybe I should stop being a tight arse and just treat myself to another subscription. Have you heard of a tune called “Body Like A Back Road” by Sam Hunt? I have, it popped up when I was using Spotify (yeah the free one). I think I like it but I’m not sure. Have a listen:
Speaking of subscriptions I also cancelled my Three account. At the moment I am only slightly regretting that. I moved to ID Mobile (which uses Three’s network anyway) and now pay £5 a month for a plan that has 1.5GB of data with the remainder of unused data rolling over to the next month. As I have wifi at home and at work, it is currently suiting my needs. I do feel a bit foolish for cancelling my obsolete “All You Can Eat Data” plan that I had for £15 a month but screw it, a tenner a month can be spent on something else. Like Spotify maybe. Hmmmmmm.
I’m still married, so I must be doing something right.
That’s about to blow up, so when it does I’ll update you on what I buy next. But it probably won’t be a Vauxhall now those horrible Peugeot people have taken them over.
Our friend who runs the Animation Team at Iberostar in Crete has announced he and some familiar faces will be back this season. Which really makes me want a holiday. Due to other financial commitments, and the fact the price of the holiday seems somewhat astronomical this year, we may not get to go. But I might just throw caution to the wind and book it anyway. If I do it for September, I have plenty of time to either save, or hide from the holiday company when they chase for more than the deposit.
I’ll leave you with that for now, I’ll keep some jibber jabber back for another post. Woo yeah.
